40 Days of Affirmation (Day 20: Courage)

Today, in the US, we commemorate the life and legacy of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

As I reflect on who Dr. King was, and the impact his life continues to have around the world, I am inspired to affirm “I am Courage.”

Dr. King’s courage allowed him to make every day in 13 years of his adult life a “day on, not a day off” as he sought justice for oppressed people through civil rights activities.

Do you know you can hear Dr. King’s speeches online? Check this one out.

I’ll skip the musical selection for today, and hope you spend some time listening to Dr. King’s speech(es).

Be thou of good courage 😉
