Eletu Odibo Junior High School

SEGEI is a women-led non-profit organization dedicated to helping girls and young women in low-resource and marginalized settings find their voices, access resources, and use their talents to thrive. We seek to IGNITE, NURTURE, and HARNESS the intellectual, emotional, and social strengths of adolescent girls and young women through education (formal and informal), mentorship, and life skills development.

Eletu Odibo Junior High School

On Wednesday, May 4, the Strong Enough Girls Team distributed school supplies to 10 students at Eletu Odibo Junior High School in Lagos, Nigeria as part of the SEGEI School Supplies Program to equip students for success. The school supplies included the following items:

A backpack/school bag
A mathematical set
Pens and pencils
Exercise books
Hygiene products (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, deodorant, and sanitary pads)

The students were chosen to receive the supplies based on need, including being an orphan and/or a domestic helper with inability to afford school supplies. The students were enlightened about SEGEI’s mission and the importance of education.
